Secure your account with two-factor

Your account holds your customers' names, numbers and history. Two-factor authentication asks for a code from your phone as well as your password — as the dashboard puts it, the single best protection for that data.

Turn it on for yourself

  1. In the sidebar, open Security.
  2. In the Two-factor authentication card, click Set up two-factor authentication.
The Two-factor authentication card on the Security page, with the “Set up two-factor authentication” button.
  3. Confirm your password and click Continue.
  4. Save your backup codes: click Copy and keep them somewhere safe — a password manager, or printed at home. They are shown once and never again, and they are the only way back in if you lose your phone. Tick I have saved these backup codes somewhere safe, then Continue.
  5. Open an authenticator app on your phone — Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy — and scan the QR code. No camera? Use Or enter this key by hand.
  6. Type the 6-digit Authentication code the app shows and click Turn on two-factor authentication.

Require it for your whole team

If you are the workspace owner, you can make two-factor mandatory for everyone.

  1. On the same Security page, find the Workspace security card.
The Workspace security card, with the tickbox requiring two-factor authentication for everyone in the workspace.
  2. Tick Require two-factor authentication for everyone in this workspace.
  3. As the page explains: members without it are sent to the Security page and cannot use the dashboard until they finish — and you must set it up on your own account first.
